I’m Carrie Boyd
Not so long ago, in the heart of a life-changing health scare, I turned over a new leaf in my 40s. I said goodbye to my nonprofit career, embraced my lifelong love for the land, and stepped boldly into the full time world of Real Estate Investing. It was more than a career change; it was a rebirth of purpose and passion.
But this journey wasn't about chasing success in the conventional, hustle-harder sense. It was about introspection, asking myself the real questions about what I wanted my life to stand for, and answering those questions with actions that resonated with my heart.
And guess what? This approach transformed everything. When I started listening to that inner voice, honoring the wisdom passed down from my father, and embracing my true calling, my world didn't just shift; it blossomed.
I’m Ely!
My journey in real estate began in Tallahassee, Florida, but it’s rooted in my native Puerto Rico. At 17, life threw me a curveball - becoming a mother. Despite the doubts cast by others, including a guidance counselor who saw little hope for my future, I chose to defy the odds.
By 25, as a single mom, I started my Real Estate adventure with my first rental house. It wasn't easy, facing critics and life's upheavals, like a near-devastating divorce in my 30s.
But, here I am today managing nearly two dozen properties of my own across the Southeast, over 200 units for a student housing company, and all with a multimillion-dollar net worth.
